Spring Inspiration

I've been inspired by all the sprouting buds!I just love the pretty colors that Spring brings!I made this little doo dah. I call her Prissy the Peep!I had fun making it. I had the inspiration bug this morning and it's been raining cats and dogs yesterday and today.So I decided to create something cheery and fun!I hope you all having a great week-end full of inspiration too!Let me ask...Where do you draw your inspiration from?

Baby's Breath is Blooming

It's a dreary day today but my Baby's Breath bushes are really starting to bloom! I just love these bushes! I have two of them in my front yard. They only bloom for a short period in the early spring.The flowers are so pretty and dainty.I love cutting them and putting them in flower arrangements!Just thought I would share some more of my Spring sprouts in my yard!I just love seeing everything come alive again!Have a happy Friday!

The TicTock Box

The cat's out of the box! Well actually the clock is in the box. Voila! This is my new creation. It's a clock in a box. A Creation With Corks

I'm so excited to say I finally have found something to do with all the corks we have accumulated. My husband and I like to drink wine.I enjoy trying different kinds. My husband is a connoiseur I would have to say.He is in the food and beverage business at a major hotel.He's also French. He knows a good wine!I am not that knowledgeable on them. I actually like Trader Joe's $2 buck chuck!LOL!Anyways I have and can get as many corks as I want.I've been creating a fun piece that I'll be showing you all real soon! I'm so excited about it and love the way I have incorporated corks!You soon shall see.

My Favorite Store

Just to let you know a little more about me.I have to let you know my absolute favorite store is Anthropologie!I'm obsessed with it. People ask me where my inspirations come from and they come from many places but Anthroplogy is who I am! I walk into that store and it's me!If you ask any of my friends or family they will tell you this is true.I'm so lucky to have two stores here in the Atlanta area.If you have never been you must go or visit their website. It will be a feast for your eyes.Or at least it is for mine.I just had to share because I'm feeling the need to visit the store soon!

Hold A True Friend With Both Hands

This is a cup I recieved from a friend of mine.I thought I would surprise her by showcasing this cup full of flowers. Yes the dafodils were picked by my girls in the yard!Just plucked away. Sunday Morning Bagel Time

I love Sunday mornings as I've said before...reminds me of France with a hot cup of coffee and a pastry of some sort. Doughnuts are always tastey too but this morning we are having bagels! Soft and chewy with a bit of cream cheese,slightly warmed. I just love them! My favorite right now is the cinnamon crunch bagel!These were from Panera if anyone has one around you will have to try one, I have a sweet tooth so I always go for the ones with more sugar!Wishing you all a happy Sunday! Three little Mary's and their sheep

I wanted to share my latest creation! I just love how it turned out! I could not have done it without the sweetest vintage image that I got from Ms. Suzee Que! I just loved it! It's so fun and I added cotton on the sheep's heads.Too funny! Anyways this can be found in my Etsy shop! I'll be making more of these types of hanging plaques. I think they make great gifts and look lovely hanging in a Spring wreath!Have a happy Friday!

Full of life

My sweet daughter tried cheering me up all day yesterday. She shed some tears too when she saw how sad I was. What a sweetie! She is so full of life and just a happy go lucky girl! I wanted to share this collage she and I made for her bedroom which truly describes her personality!She is very creative and loves art too!This collage is so fun ,bright and cheerful! I just love her so and I want to thank her for making me smile and making me feel happy every time I walk by her room!P.S I look way beyond the clutter! LoL!

My friend Annette

Annette was a co-worker of mine who passed away . She fought a long battle with cancer. Today was her Memorial service. It was a beautiful service with all of her family and friends.Annette was 48 years young leaving her husband and 2 children.{ Middle school and high school ages} This for me was really hard!Annette did not ever worry about herself but for her family and how this will effect them.It really makes you think how precious our life is and real eye opener on how we should live every day as though it was our last.This was a quote on the back of her sympathy card by Ralph Waldo Emerson."It is not the length of life,but the depth of life."I love that! Also Annette wrote these words before she passed"Remember me with joy and laughter for that is how I will remember you."It was a very sad day but I know Annette is peaceful now.

Oh the Monday blues

There's nothing like Aromatheraputic household cleaners to kick start your week! Yes...It's Monday! Time for me to start my weekly chores.Oh what fun!I do enjoy Mrs. Meyers products though. I just bought this floor cleaner and surface scrub and love the fresh basil scent.It's alot better than clorox!!I also use the hand soap too.Right now I'm using lemon verbena in the kitchen and bath.I really think I'm drawn to the cute packaging. Anyways it gets me cleaning and the house smells good too! Happy Monday!

My first ATC Swap

I had so much fun creating these ATC's. I'm in a group called The Faerie Zine on Flickr and were having a bunny/spring ATC swap. My one daffodil

Signs of Spring are all around my home! Buds are starting to come out.I thought I would show you how far some of my daffodils are coming.On Friday one of my sweet little girls came up to me and said"I have something for you" and she handed me my one dafodil that has bloomed. It was very sweet.I remember walking to school and picking the flowers out of peoples yards and giving them to my teachers.Those people were probably so mad that their garden was being plucked! I think of those days when my kids come to me with flowers! I really don't have much of a garden so it's kind of funny! I'm a flower pot,baskets and container girl! Anyways ..Here's my one daffodil!

I just love this photo! My husband took this when we were in Paris a couple of summers ago. We were taking a tourist ride on a ferry boat. He must of captured it along the way.To be young and carefree and kissing on a park bench.It's very sweet!Yes it's true we don't need Valentine's Day to show or love. It could be any day!

I told you all I was going to try and bake that chocolate cherry stack cake. Well...this is my attempt.I ended up making cupcakes.I just baked them fresh today! I decided the kids would enjoy these more and I'll save the cake for entertaining or something! Ha!Anyways these chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting will be waiting for them when they come in the door! The kitchen smells so good right now!I think I'll eat one before they come home.

In the mood for.....painting

I really have spring fever! It's a pretty day again here. Temps in the 60's.I've been trying to get the house clean and I'm in the mood for change! Last spring I painted my front staircase. I painted the dark wood a distressed white.I loved how it turned out.It was the best thing I could have done! With three kids the distressed look is perfect! The more scratches and bings the better! It was simple to do too! I just liquid sanded the steps.NO priming. I painted them a white color and then sanded them down. Believe it or not you can never see the dust! Anyways thought I would share with you my steps! I have distressed barn wood frames going up my wall on the staircase and it goes well.So anyways I'm thinking of painting my kitchen chairs an olive green color. The swatch is on the chair. I think that's my next project!I'll let you know how they come out!

Spring is in the air

Happy Sunday to all! It's another beautiful day in the ATL ! Clear blue skies and temps reaching 70 degrees. It feels so nice. I've been in a springy mood and have been playing with my sewing machine. I'm starting to make sweet ,little cottages on hand towels. I think they are coming out cute.I'm using fresh,springy,summery style fabrics that give you that cozy feel.It all started because I needed to change out my Christmas hand towel in my guest bathroom and started to think.I could make something!Anyways I have one in my etsy shop already and this one will be going up soon. I hope all of your weather is sunny and bringing you happy thoughts!That's what the weather does for me!

A Krispy Kreme morning

The sweet smell of coffee brewing and the anticipation of biting into a slightly warm Krispy Creme doughnut is such a wonderful thing! My daughters had sleep overs last night. I have a total of 6 girls this morning and my poor son who is stuck in the house with them.Anyways it will be doughnuts for breakfast! I love the Valentine's box it came in! Vintage Valentines

It's February 1st! My vintage Valentines are up for display! I just love them. I put them around my mirrior in the foyer entry way of my home.They are on display for anyone who visits us!I love the nostalgia of the old valentines.
