Ranunculus is the name of these flowers

The name Ranunculus is Late Latin for "little frog," from rana "frog" and a diminutive ending. This probably refers to many species being found near water, like frogs. Yes...I looked up the definition! Funny name I think but I think they are my most favorite! I bought them at Trader Joe's on Friday and had to have a little photo shoot. I just love em! I haven't been around in awhile... just one of my blog away phases....sorry if you have missed me. I'm back today to spread the word Ranunculus! Enjoy!

NO Cinnamon Rolls This Morning

My son was so funny this morning. I've been on a tea staining tag kick! I love the look of them and then adding my own touches to them is so much fun! So anyways...my son thought I was baking this morning and I pulled out my tags out of the oven and he says.."Oh yummy baked paper!"He had to settle for toaster strudles. Anyways... I've made a few different kinds of sets. The top one is called Unlock the Mystery.
These are called Les Fleurs.

And finally Memories of Paris! These tags are fun and easy to do if you like to do these sort of things. If not and you like these they can easily be found in my Etsy shop! Wishing you a happy day and have a cup of Tea on me! Lol!

Spring/Easter Table Setting Tour

Welcome to my little tour! This past week I've been showing different tablescapes to give you ideas an inspirations for a table setting. This is the one I've created so I hope you enjoy!
I set the table on my back porch. I have a rustic, shabby ,white table that I love! I did cover it with a sheer, yellow tablecloth with green polka dots on it. My husband who is in the food and beverage business added the crumber on the table!Lol! He's worked in fine dining all his life. My style is not as stuffy!{I'm not saying his style is stuffy just a bit more refined!} I placed the tarnished salt and pepper shakers on the table and he wanted to shine them up. I love them the way they are! I have a mix of new plates and a set my grandma gave me. The pattern is so dainty and pretty! At this table I have all different chairs and a wicker settee. It feels more cozy and inviting to me to mix everything up! Of course adding pillows helps!
For the centerpiece I added a green moss grapevine wreath and added faux eggs around the center. I filled a white, shabby vase with pink tulips. Two adorable vintage looking velour chicks are sitting on top of the wreath.
This is the whole table setting.
I love to add things to the back of chairs! Each chair has something different. It adds some whimsy to this table.
I made this wreath last year. Some of you may remember I had it for sale in my etsy shop. I loved it so much I kept it. The Happy Easter sign I bought.

This will take you to the end of my tour. I want to thank my two participants and everyone who has stopped by to take a look! I'm giving my two participants one of these lovely birds and some other goodies ! I hope you enjoyed the tour and please stop by the other tour operators.

Thoughts of flowers blooming and butterflies are on my mind! It is raining a lot here in Atlanta and looks like it will be for the next couple of days.We need the rain but it is a bit depressing. I have been inspired though by all the beautiful Spring blooms and have created a bouquet of vintage button, paper flowers and butterflies. They are the kind of flowers that never fade or wilt and add a touch of whimsy to any home decor! These can be found in my Etsy shop!I just thought I would share my garden inspiration for the day and wish you all lots of sunshine and please send some my way too!

What I call my cozy living room....

This is my living room. I took this picture a little while ago...quickly cleaned up the room and took this shot. It's raining outside so the picture is a bit dull!I thought I'd share my eclectic style.A bit of this and that. When we moved in this house 5 years ago it was vacant. I saw a vision! It was dark and drab but it had so much charm! I've told you before it has a wrap around porch and a screened in porch in the back. Every room except for 3 of the bedrooms and baths have a baywindow.I love those windows! Anyways I painted everything! I distressed the mantle and painted the dark paneling all through out the house. I truly love the distressed look especially with three kids!My house is filled with flea market finds....I can't wait to go to the big flea market next week! I will definately be showing you my finds! Thanks for taking a peek into my living room.
