Sunday Morning Breakfast

Good morning All! This morning breakfast is a delight! It's my mother in law's 7oth birthday. My husband went to this rastaurant that sells french pasteries early this morning for our breakfast. Some of you from Georgia may know La Madeleine's { It's a cute Bisto}He surprised her with chocolate croissants and almond croissants. He brought them home and warmed them in the oven! Ohhh.... Ce'st si bon!I don't know what it is about the weekends and having breakfast but I like to post about food!Lol! Right now I'm having a large cup of cafe au lait. I'm dipping my croissant in my coffee. Yum!It will be another beautiful day here and we are taking my mother in law out to a nice restaurant tonight. Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Be Happy

It's the weekend! Yay! Time to let your guard down a bit and relax if you can!A little less stress than during the week. It's what we usually all look forward too! It's going to be gorgeous here in Atlanta this weekend.Sunny and in the seventy's. I wont be complaing it's too hot! Lol!You'll be hearing me soon enough do that.I'm sharing this photo that was taken in France a couple years ago at a fair in Paris. My kids are on this ride somewhere. This was my all time favorite ride when I was growing up. It was so much fun and not too scarry. It was a flying swing. Not a care in the world as you fly around and around. I should have gone on that swing ride when I was there. I don't know why I didn't. Anyways I just love this picture and reminds me also of this song. So this weekend Have this catchy song in your head and it will make you smile!Have a great weekend! P.s..Lori I fixed the dish you recommended and it was a hit! My husband loved it! I used the italian sausage in the dish. Yum! Keep sharing recipes. This is fun!Tonight I'm taking my mother in law to a Mexican restaurant with the kids. My husband is working late so I thought it would be fun! So it's Margarita night! Lol!

This is so much fun!

First of all thank you for all the incouraging thoughts for me and my dinner dilemmas!Lori...that recipe sounds perfect! I'm making it tonight!! Last night I made a pork tenderloin { I always do those} they are easy.I made mashed potatoes.Okay..I do admit I make the best mashed potatoes! Here is the secret...I use yukon gold potatoes, lots of butter, milk and a little bit of white truffle oil.The white truffle oil turns the potatoes into a 5 star potato!{just a little bit}Then I beat it and keep adding milk to the cosistency I like! Then we had fresh green beans and bread of course and more wine!Lol!My daughter made brownies for desert! Okay enough about food. I would like to share these sweet ATC's I recieved yesterday for the Faerie Zine bunny swap!Remember awhile back I showed you mine I sent, well these are the one's I got. Too cute! The blue one is from Dianne from Dianthus Moon and the pastel one is from Suze from junquedrawerchicks.I just love them. This swap is my 1st one! I'm addicted now!I'm going to display them in my Easter collection display in my front foyer like I did for Valentine's.The picture of the flowers is just a preview of where I'll be putting them!Wishing you all a great day!P.s I still can't figure out how to write underneath photos...this is why the writing is cut off at the top.

Introducing Miss Bunny

I created the lovely Miss Bunny this morning. She's been waiting to arrive. I think she looks very Spring like and is ready for Easter! I had fun creating her ! She's in my Etsy shop today and ready to bring some hippity hop into someone's home!I'm funny...I know!Well to those of you who are wondering. I made already prepared beef tips in gravy over large egg noodles for dinner last night. We also had a salad and of course a French baugette and little wine too!Now tonight is again another story...Hmm?

My Cooking Dilemma

I am not a chef . My husband is the one who cooks if we have company.I can cook the basics...pasta,chicken,eggs....the usual. I hardly get recipes out and cook a huge meal. I think my kids never appreciate it. Anyways as I said my mother in law from France is here and my husband works late so I need to come up with some interesting meals.Every time she comes my husband says"don't worry she'll eat anything" and says we'll go shopping before she comes for things. Well we didn't and he's at work and I'm left to figure out a menu.I'm having a dilemma what to prepare!Any easy ideas would be wonderful!I know she knows I can't cook but I would like to show her what I have up my sleeve! Lol!

March Is Here

It's already March 1st!Where does the time fly? It seems like Christmas was just here. Today my mother in law is coming from France for 2 weeks! It will be a bit challenging. She only speaks French. I speak it too but It's not the greatest. I speak in present tense all the time and don't conjugate the verbs. I literally speak like a child. Anyways I think half the time she thinks I'm hilarious and say's to herself..."what the heck"? "what did she just say"?and she looks at me strange. Many times we just laugh. My husband works alot and the kids don't speak it either. So that leaves me to entertain and so forth. So imagine the fun I'm going to have! Lol!I will keep you posted.Wishing you all a good day! Wish me luck too! Also I would like to thank Ms. Suzee Que for this lovely vintage calander image!
