For the love of the red, white & sacre bleu

Skimming through the pages of one of my old Home Companion magazines I found this page with a sweet cottage display.Adorable heart sachets, tiny oldiers and a sequin-embellished Eiffel Tower adorn these shelves edged in pom pom trim. This is a perfect setting and I'll tell you why! Last Sunday my young teenage son went to France by himself for 2 weeks to stay with grandma! This was the first time he has flown by himself and has been gone away for so long.He and grandma are together and she is showing him the sights around Paris,Normandy and he's going to be seeing a day of the Tour de France in Montpellier. {south of France} They are having a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it!!! Remember...grandma doesn't speak English and my son doesn't speak French! This will be an unbelievable experience!!Anyways my thoughts are in France and thinking about the 4th of July! Wishing you all a happy holiday!!
