It's a GREY day....

It's a grey day in my bathroom that is! Oh my what a pain this bathroom is! My hubby and I just removed wall paper and a stippled ceiling. UGH! Let me tell you the walls are not perfect or is the ceiling but I feel when we are finished it will look fabulous! So I had a hard choice for paint colors...
I've been wanting to try grey since "grey is the new beige" so they say!  This is my color scheme.
I think it will look fresh when we are finished. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out!

Happy March!

Ahh.. Spring is in the air. Today it is sunny with blue skies and puffy white clouds. A slight breeze and the air is high 60's. The daffodils and Springtime flowers are peaking out. Such a lovely feeling! Wishing you a happy day on  the start of a new month!

Blowing Bubbles....

Sat on my back step blowing bubbles
Each shining soapy bubble is perfect
I'm filling them all with my love
And sending them to the heavens above
All of them are for you with all of my love

Charlotte Murray

For The love of Bubbles... thin as air and so lovely to touch. They make you smile and can fill the moment with glee. I'm sharing a photo I captured of a perfect bubble my daughter made just before she blew it up and away. Oh what joy bubbles can do!
Enjoy!

Pink-Nurturing Kindness

Ahhhh.. the color pink. My favorite. Pink symbolizes love, beauty, kindness and compasion. It heals grief and sadness, soothes difficulties in both romantic and family relationships. It gives selfworth, love and acceptance. It means I care. Not just for Valentine's Day but for everyday. So spread the pink and make yourself feel good. I purchased these pink hydrangas yesterday. They are so pretty. I placed them in my front foyer for everyone to see.{well anyone who walks in my foyer}.They make me feel good every time I walk by them!

Thoughts of Serenity.....

Perhaps, after all, our best thoughts come when we are alone. It is good to listen, not to voices but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen. If we attend to the music of the earth, we reach serenity. And then, in some unexplained way, we share it with others.

Have a happy weekend!

I started baking again...

I got the creative urge to make some gift tags . It's one of my favorite things to do. I coffee stained the tags first and baked them. Once again my poor kids came running down the stairs asking what I was baking and I had to tell them paper! It does kinda smell like coffee cake though. Ha! Anyhoo..I then decorated them like so. I plan to give them away as gifts and as extra goodies for customers. They are fun and unique! I have a lot of respect for those who make and sell gift tags. A lot of time and thought goes into them and to me they are extra special! I'm planning on actually baking something real to eat for tomorrow...Ha! Stay tuned!
Have a fabulous day!

The July Flower

I've been away a bit. Taking advantage of the lazy, hazy ,hot and sticky and pretty much relaxing Summer days! I hope you all are too! We just received the back to school list in the mail today. Hard to believe it's already around the corner. Every Summer seems to breeze on by a bit faster as my children get older.
Well I thought I would share The July flower today! Since we still are in July. It is the Double Stock Flower!
The stock flower is often associated with beautiful symbolism. They are most commonly said to represent a contented and happy life; however, they are also thought to mean undying affection and love, as well as lasting beauty. Because of these symbols, stock flowers are often given as gifts as emblems of love, contentment and the wish for the recipient to be as happy and beautiful tomorrow as they are today. This information was found on Flowers.org.
Wishing you all a happy July Day!

Priceless

Tiny moments captured on film that is so sweet and innocent. Natures gift that brings a smile to our faces young and old. A gift that keeps on giving. My fondest memories from when I  was young was picking flowers from someone else's garden or in our own yard and bringing them home to my mom to make her happy. Flowers just do that to us. They make us feel good. Just like this sweet little neighbor of mine picking flowers for her mom. Simply priceless!

Shabby granny green apple

This is the color I describe of this sweet yard stick I have in my yard.  Inspiring because it screams Spring! It is stuck in the cold hard ground and sits in front of a bare bush. It's the only pop in my yard at the moment. I love the sweet texture and color and thought I would share it with you. So it's a shabby, granny green apple kind of day today!
Enjoy,

I had to buy a bouquet of Tulips! I saw them and just swooned over them! Reminds me of Spring! Even though we still have a ways to go. Loving the clementines too! Our family can't get enough of them. I recommend getting yourself some Tulips or any type flowers to brighten your day!

A wrinkle a day......

Last night I tossed and turned. I could not fall asleep.  I was watching T.V before I went to bed and it stuck in my head this show I watched on celebrities and plastic surgery.  I guess the secret to Heather Locklear's youthful look is laying on her back and soft sheets! Wow! I thought to myself..I shall try laying on my back at night. Lol! This must be the reason all these fine lines are showing up on my face. My sheets are just not soft enough! Anyways... I could not fall asleep on my back and how do you know when your sleeping that you don't turn to your side? Hmm? I guess this trick works only for certain people. Ha! Wishing you all a happy and well rested weekend!

Shades of orange

A necklace I created ...I call it Eve.

My bright orange Le Creuset cooking pot. I bought that at a Garage Sale 15 years ago for $5.00! Love it!

Sweet chili pepper plant! So festive and sweet to eat!

Today I'm inspired by the fabulous color of orange! I love this color and all of it's shades. I 've taken some photos around the home to share with you my inspirations! The image above is an old olive jar that I have and I love to put flowers in it. These were actually fresh burnt orange colored roses which are now dry and I love them..Enjoy and Happy Wednesday!

Talk about organization.....

Well...the other day when I said I was going to get organized I was inspired by my hubby! Every once and awhile he will go through the kids art drawer{ we keep paper, crayons, colored pencils, scissors} he will take out their pencils and sharpen each one! I think it's a tedious job and think it's pointless{ no punt on the word point...Ha ha!} Yet he thinks it's better for them and everyhing is neat and tidy! Well this time he took the pencil out of the box and put them in ordinary drinking glasses and displayed them on a dresser I have in the living room! Voila! It was a work of art on it's own! I just loved the look of it! Very atrsy, chic and neat and tidy!So to tell you the truth hubby is the reason I'm going through this organization phase!

Nothing like sharpening pencils and getting right to the point!Just thought I would share that!
