Blooms for the hair.....

I've been busy creating all sorts of vintage floral hair combs and headbands that are sure to make a statement! Summer blooms that will never fade!  The bees are buzzing and I actually got a mosquito
bite yesterday...not too happy about those, but nothing beats the beauty of the flowers though!
Enjoy!

Fluffing up the Spring wreath

I actually did a little Spring cleaning in the yard the other day and spruced up the house for Spring. I even mowed the lawn...imagine that with the pollen count in extreme record highs!  The mowing is usually my son's job but I thought I would give him a break. Anyways... I put up my Spring wreath and added a few vintage Easter picks in it.  Here it is on my front door. It feels like Spring has sprung in Atlanta. Wishing you all a happy day!

A sneak peak.... Celebrate Spring!

I've been busy creating for an Artist Trading Swap. The theme is Celebrate Spring! It's all happening over at the talented Kimberly's blog ....ARTJOYSTUFF http://artjoystuff.blogspot.com/2012/02/tuesday-trading-card-swap-sign-up.html Kimberly does amazing work. She is very talented and creative. Check her out and see for yourself! I had so much fun creating these. I have done these swaps in the past but it's been awhile. I got carried away and made an extra. Wishing you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day for tomorrow!

Strike a pose....

Doesn't it look like the flower is posing for the picture? I just love the way this photo turned out. My daughter took the dog for a walk and came back with three of these beauties. Shhhh....don't tell the neighbors. {They didn't come from my yard.} Ha! Anyways, I just wanted to share a captured floral moment. Remember to take time to smell the flowers today!
Enjoy,

Grape Hyacinth

I just love these flowers. I planted lots of bulbs of these a few years ago and they come up every Spring!
Let me tell you I have a brown thumb so these must be hardy! They are so cute and are bright blue. They come from the Lily family. I love to cut a bunch and make a small bouquet in a vase. It's one of the 1st flowers to pop up in my yard. If you like the look of these, plant the bulbs in the Fall. They will not disappoint!

Oh so cozy! It's the weekend. Time to unwind and relax if possible. It would be so lovely to sink into the bed above. I'm loving this bed. So serene and plush. Wishing all a dreamy weekend!

Happy March!

Ahh.. Spring is in the air. Today it is sunny with blue skies and puffy white clouds. A slight breeze and the air is high 60's. The daffodils and Springtime flowers are peaking out. Such a lovely feeling! Wishing you a happy day on  the start of a new month!
